Straight answers about Termiroll direct thermal labels: what they work with, what they are made of and how to choose.
Do Termiroll labels work with DYMO printers?
No. DYMO label printers use their own media system and, on current models like the LabelWriter 550 series, electronically require authentic DYMO labels. Termiroll labels are made for standard direct thermal printers such as Rollo, Zebra, MUNBYN and iDPRT.
Do Termiroll labels work with Brother printers?
No. Brother QL printers are designed around Brother's own DK label rolls, which carry media markings the printer expects. Use Termiroll labels with a standard 4 inch direct thermal printer instead.
Do I need ink, toner or a ribbon?
No. Termiroll labels are direct thermal: the coated face darkens with the print head's heat. There is nothing to refill or replace except the labels themselves.
What core size do the rolls have?
All Termiroll rolls wind on a standard 1.5 inch (38 mm) core, which fits the media holders of common desktop label printers that accept cores from 1 to 3 inches.
Will the print smudge or run if it gets wet?
The label face is water and oil resistant and scratch resistant, so carrier barcodes stay scannable through rain, handling and warehouse conveyor wear. Like all direct thermal media, avoid long direct sunlight and high heat in storage.
What sizes does Termiroll make?
Four formats: 2x1 in (1,000 per roll, also a 10-roll pack), 3x2 in (500 per roll), 4x3 in (500 per roll, also a 12-roll case) and 4x6 in shipping labels (rolls of 350, fanfold stacks of 130 or 500).
Should I choose rolls or fanfold?
Rolls suit printers with an internal or external roll holder and small desk setups. Fanfold stacks sit flat behind the printer, feed through the rear slot, hold more labels per refill and are easier to store in bulk. Print quality is identical.
Do the labels work with inkjet or laser printers?
No. These are direct thermal labels and only print in direct thermal printers. An inkjet or laser printer needs sheet labels instead.
